The aims of the Surrey Heath Arts Council are:

      i.        to promote and facilitate cultural events throughout the Borough of Surrey Heath 

     ii.        to act on behalf of Surrey Heath Borough Council in giving financial support to individuals and organisations within the Borough to help with their cultural activities (non-professional)

    iii.        to administer the Bursary system (set up by Surrey Heath Arts Council)for financial assistance to anyone resident in the Borough who is aiming at professional level development of their chosen cultural activity.

Councillor Representative Role: to attend Surrey Heath Arts Council meetings when called to discuss future developments; to approve grant applications received; to report back to the Council as requested and agreed.
