Local Committees have four roles. They are:
1.decide on local services and budgets delegated to them by the Cabinet
2.decide on local services and functions handed down to them within a framework of agreed performance standards and budgets
3.monitor the quality of services locally
4.engage local people in issues of concern, and influence the County Council and its Cabinet on county-wide plans and services in the light of local needs.
Councillor Representative Role: to liaise with Surrey County Council to ensure that the Council is fully consulted on any relevant matters before any county decisions are made.
