The role of the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership is to deliver an expert, experienced and centralised resource to:

·        Co-ordinate projects and actions of involved  parties to improve the countryside of the Valley;

·        Increase sustainable usage of the Valley especially for informal outdoor recreation;

·        Ensure wildlife and landscape protection; and

·        Provide site management expertise for landowners and authorities who do not have an in-house resource

Councillor Representative Role: each partner authority nominates two member representatives to attend the Joint Members committee meetings.  Partner authorities are also asked to nominate an officer to attend the Officer Liaison meetings held quarterly.
